If more people in this world would stop placating how they really feel and stop saving so much face, things would operate so much more smoothly.
I'm so thankful for my lack of a filter. Really? Expressing myself has cleared up even the muddiest water. Is it easy? Not always. But it's necessary and worth it.
I'm the kind of girl that says what she means and means what she says. The truth can be ugly, it can be hurtful, and it can sound like nails on a chalkboard, but truth, in its own time, is always justifiably revealed. Why postpone the inevitable? Mom and Dad would say, "Just nip it in the bud!" Seriously. Just do it.
Also, if you say what you mean and mean what you say to someone who is completely irrelevant to the situation, take their feedback with a grain of salt. If you take it to heart instead, you're only going to have a skewed opinion on things yourself. Go straight to the source, be tasteful but forthright, and most importantly when it's all said and done, listen twice as much as you speak.
Words to live by.
